Job Summary

The University of Colorado Boulder (CU Boulder) Libraries invites applications from collaborative and innovative candidates for the position of Education Librarian! This tenure-track faculty position serves as the subject specialist for education and liaison to students and faculty in the School of Education and other liaison areas as assigned. Duties include participating in all six pillars of liaison responsibilities in support of the School of Education and related programs and departments: collection development, instruction, relationship building, research support, subject expertise, and advocacy. The Education Librarian is an essential partner in the School of Education's mission to innovate and pursue a lived commitment to democracy, diversity, equity, and justice. Collection Development duties also include managing and developing the Children's and Young Adult Collection in Norlin Library, which supports teacher education. An essential element of this position is participation in building an inclusive campus environment and bringing a justice-oriented approach to all areas of librarianship.

As a member of the University Libraries faculty, the Education Librarian will be expected to maintain a record of scholarly research/creative work, participate in professional service activities, and actively engage in faculty governance, in keeping with the tenure standards of the University of Colorado Boulder. This position has the opportunity to work in a hybrid capacity. This tenure-track faculty position reports to the Head of the Collections Engagement section. A typical annual merit formula for tenure-track faculty is 40% librarianship, 40% research, and 20% service. The Collections Engagement section is part of the Libraries' Researcher & Collections Team, part of the Success & Engagement Strategies Chapter. Please see the Libraries' organizational chart.
The University of Colorado Boulder is committed to building a culturally diverse community of faculty, staff, and students dedicated to contributing to an inclusive campus environment. We are an Equal Opportunity employer, including veterans and individuals with disabilities.
